Fall Out Boy brought its catalog of pop punk hits, wild pyrotechnics and shredding guitar solos to a packed Darling's Waterfront Pavilion when the "Boys of Zummer" tour came to Bangor Saturday night.

The band -- vocalist Patrick Stump, guitarist Joe Trohman, bassist Pete Wentz and drummer Andy Hurley -- kicked off the Bangor show the same way they kicked off their chart success -- with their 2005 single "Sugar, We're Goin' Down."

From there, they reeled through a decade of hits including "Thnks fr th Mmrs," "Uma Thurman," and "Immortals," amid an array of lasers, pyrotechnics and video displays featuring footage of the crowd, animated landscapes and trippy designs.

They closed their 90-minute set with their Top 10 hit "Centuries" from their latest album, this year's "American Beauty/America Psycho." The encore featured "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)" from their 2013 comeback album "Save Rock and Roll," and a shout out to Bangor resident Stephen King.

New York-based rapper Hoodie Allen opened for Fall Out Boy, performing his songs "All About It," "No Faith in Brooklyn," and "Eighteen Cool."  Another New York-based musician, MAX, accompanied Fall Out Boy and performed before Hoodie Allen.

The Boys of Zummer tour's next stop will be on June 23 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where regular tour member Wiz Khalifa will rejoin the show.
