July 5th - July 11th: See how Katy Perry, Wiz Khalifa, Iggy Azalea, Enrique Iglesias and Hootie & the Blowfish marked this week in history for pop music from the past 30 years.

1994 - Hootie & the Blowfish

The college radio band releases their first album 'Cracked Rear View' and smashes records after appearing on 'The Late Show with David Letterman'.  The album goes on to sell over 20 million copies.

2000 - Enrique Iglesias

Latino singer and son of the famed singer Julio Iglesias is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Be With You.'  It stays at #1 for 15 weeks. And maybe it's because this video is so sexy...

2008 - Katy Perry

The Christian singer turned pop star releases 'I Kissed A Girl' and hits #1 on the charts.  It stays there for 7 weeks.

2014 - Iggy Azalea

The Australian singer slams onto the scene with Charli XCX with the song 'Fancy' which is number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.  It stays at number 1 for 5 weeks.

2017 - Wiz Khalifa

Rapper Wiz Khalifa and singer Charlie Puth enjoy a record breaking moment when the video for their song 'See You Again' is watched 2.9 million times.  The record is short-lived, however, when 'Despacito' breaks that record in August.  Right now it's at 28 million views, btw.
