Grab a cool, refreshing Diet Coke and check out these highlights from Bangor's only late night talk show.

Like lots of us, Dan Cashman has been working from home. The big difference is that he is doing a local television show every week. The Nite Show with "Danny Cashman: Scaled-Back Editions," has been a bit of a departure from the normal proceedings, but he still is bringing us all some great guests.

Dr. Nirav Shah has been one the true rock stars of our time in quarantine the past four months. He is the director of the Maine CDC. His daily media briefings have not only kept us here in Maine informed, but entertained, too. I mean, he quoted Prince one afternoon, so he is near and dear to my heart. His ability to communicate what is happening and how we can all be safe, makes our daily slog through this difficult time a little bit easier.

Dr. Nirav Shah makes no bones about his love of Diet Coke during the now twice-weekly (Tuesday and Thursday) COVID-19 briefings. There is always a can present. Dan discusses this topic and serves up a tasty parody of a famous Diet Coke commercial from the '90s.

In this final clip, Dr. Shah speaks about some the odder calls that he takes from the media at the end of each briefing.

There was also some great music Saturday night. Kiki Cubb is an international composer who started playing piano at the age of 9. She has racked up 7.5 million views on YouTube. Her self-titled album Kiki Cubb is out now.

During his stay at home shows, Dan has had some great guests! Veteran character actor Stephen Tobolowsky of "Groundhog Day", actress Andrea Barber of "Full House", and "Fuller House" fame, and iconic host of the Nickelodeon classic game show "Double Dare", Marc Summers.

"The Nite Show with Danny Cashman" airs each and every Saturday night at 11:30 on WABI TV5/Bangor, Saturday nights at 10:30 on FOX 23/Portland, Saturday nights at midnight on WAGM FOX 8/Presque Isle, and late night Saturdays at 1 a.m. on WGME CBS 13/Portland
