What’s better than spending a cold winter day outside eating spicy hot chili, dancing and having a cocktail?

Hard to believe, but it has been 25 years since The Ice Strom of 98’ wreaked havoc across Eastern Maine, so the City of Old Town has decided to throw a party to celebrate. And quite frankly, we think it's a pretty good idea.

On Saturday, January 21st, from noon to 11pm, there will be a full afternoon and evening of events for the whole family to enjoy, and it is all taking place outside!

Here is a look at the lineup of events:

  • Chili Cook Off
  • Food Vendors
  • Ice Sculpture Demo
  • Fire Pits
  • Heated Tent
  • Music & Dance Party
  • Been Garden & Ice Bar

While you enjoy all the festivities, you will also be helping to raise money for local heating assistance support, which these days is a very important cause.

Keep in mind that during the party, the City of Old Town will be closing Main Street from Center Street to Middle Street at noon, Friday January 20th and reopening Main Street Sunday the 22nd at noon, so it would be a good idea to find an alternative route!

This celebration is brought to you by:

Kanu
Kosta’s
Old Town Little League Baseball
Old Town Elks Club

Give a shout out to the Ice Storm of 1998, kick back and have some fun in Downtown Old Town, Saturday, January 21st, from 12 noon-11pm!
