Don’t Miss ‘Arts & Drafts’ At Maine Discovery Museum February 4th
Wanna do something different, have a few cocktails, dance, and support a great cause, all at the same time?
It's a party, on Saturday, February 4th, from 6pm-8:30pm, at the Maine Discovery Museum, located at 74 Main Street in Downtown Bangor!
Usually events at Maine Discovery Museum are all about the kiddos, but "Arts & Drafts" is an event for the adults to cut loose, have a little fun, explore your creative side, and raise some money. Sounds pretty good, huh?
Participants will receive a drink with each activity, along with sweet & savory snacks and treats. All proceeds go towards the Maine Discovery Museum!
They are partnering up with Downtown Bangor's new Eye Candy Dance & Fitness Studio to offer 25-minute dance lessons throughout the event.
In the watershed area of the museum, the following events will take place:
6:15-6:40 WINE YOGA: Focus on breathing through poses, making your mind and body feel good while improving strength and flexibility. Then relax and unwind with a glass of wine!
6:50-7:15 BELLY DANCE: This class will work on isolating the muscles for moves such as twisting the abdomen and hip movements. It is a low-impact exercise that can help tone muscles, improve posture, and have a lot of fun! Just don't spill that drink!
7:25-7:50 FLOW ARTS: Dance and flow with a prop to create movements and patterns. It's great for muscle memory, strength, endurance, and even flexibility! Think of combining circus and dance together. Plus drinks, of course!
8:00-8:25 VINTAGE VIXEN BURLESQUE: Bring out your inner diva with this class that's all about the tease, the walk, the bump and grind.
Also, check out:
Paint-a-Pint:
Tap into your inner artist to paint your own personalized pint glass, beer stein, or wine glass. Enjoy a local beer as you get creative.
Homemade Valentine's Cards:
Make a unique and thoughtful card for a special someone in our life. They will offer all the supplies, while you create, and relax with a local cider.
All funds raised go directly into supporting the Maine Discovery Museum. Get your tickets here
This is a 21+ event, and ID is required!
