Don’t Get Caught Off Guard: Bangor Puts Parking Ban In Place For Monday Evening
It should come as no surprise to anyone at all that the City of Bangor has issued a Parking Ban for the Downtown area this evening.
The snow, sleet, and freezing rain that started Sunday night and continues still have kept road crews busy trying to keep the surfaces from slicking over. They need the time and the space to clear the build-up of all that precipitation.
So, what do you need to know? The City of Bangor has the following guidelines:
"During a parking ban, vehicles may not be parked on city streets in the Downtown Parking Management District between the hours of 11:00 pm and 6:00 am. Vehicles left on the street during a parking ban may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.
Please remember, there is a seasonal parking ban on city streets outside of the Downtown Parking Management District between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 am through March 31, 2023. Vehicles left on the street during overnight hours may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense."
In addition to the downtown ban and the seasonal ban, there City's "Even/Odds" rule is in effect during the daytime hours of 6:00 am and 12:00 midnight.
This rule is pretty easy to remember in that if the date is even, you park on the side of the street with the even buildings, and on the odd days, the odd number side.
The Even/Odds rule also runs through 3/31/2023.
