One musician in Dexter wants to pass along his skills of playing guitar to young Mainer's.  This isn't unusual except, he wants to do it for free.

David Iverson is looking for young students to pass along the art of playing guitar.

Iverson posted to the Dexter Maine Facebook group offering something to solve what seems to be a prevalant topic for the town, having something for Dexter's youth to do.

Iverson is offering teenagers 13 to 17 years-old free weekly lessons at his business, Story Telling Guitars, as a way to give local kids something to do, but also another way to socialize outside of school.

The lessons would take place from 6 PM - 7:30 PM on Wednesdays and has even offered for kids to borrow a guitar in his shop during the lesson.

Iverson is looking for at least 3 teenagers to get the group going but also mentioned in a later sharing of the post on his business website that this offer is not exclusive for Dexter residents and is available to any kids in the area.

If you or someone you know is interested, Iverson has asked that you visit his Facebook Page and private message him.
