Only 6$ to enjoy a slice of heaven on Earth!

Cadillac Mountain at Acadia National Park is truly a sight to behold. At 1,530 feet, it is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard and the first place to view sunrise in the United States from October through March. If you have never experienced the sun rising at this amazing spot, it is 100% bucket list material. Now with Covid-19 restrictions finally being lifted, we can all go back to doing the things that we love to do here in Maine, that means getting outdoors and enjoying the beauty of the state of Maine, that is in ample abundance, but there is a slight tweak in the rules, in regards to this magnificent mountain.

As of this week, there is a requirement for car reservations to access Cadillac Mountain. Tickets are $6 and visitors can choose either a sunrise or a daytime pass. The purpose of this is to help preserve the natural environment of the summit and avoid overcrowding. And since our new found freedom is upon us, the demand will be intensified.

Making a reservation is easy, go to https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/vehicle_reservations.htm

You have the choice of sunrise, or a daytime visit. It costs just $6 per vehicle. Once you confirm, just save the confirmation code and purchase a park pass, printed or ready on your cellphone to show to a park ranger once you get to the national park. If you are on a bike, or simply want to walk to the top of the mountain, no reservation is needed
