A Bangor woman was under arrest Monday for allegedly threatening to behead United States Senator Susan Collins, according to News Center Maine.

The news station reported that Katrina Preble allegedly called Susan's office and left two threatening voicemails on her life.

The Bangor police and the FBI went to Preble's home, according to News Center Maine, for an in-person interview in which she was reportedly distraught, angry and, in some cases, uncooperative.

Katrina Preble is due in court this week by video conference to the exact same building ironically where Susan Collins' office is, pointed out by News Center Maine.

The senator could not be reached for comment at this hour.

This happens to be one of the most bizarre local stories I've read in recent history.

Here's an older video involving a man who threatened Susan Collins and was later sentenced.
