Bangor Parks and Recreation presents a Valentine's Dance for girls from Kindergarten through 7th grade, and their dads, Friday, February 3.

Who knew Daddy-Daughter Dances were so popular? Everyone but me? I never danced with my father. But I witnessed him do a 2-step that would make any country line dancer proud.

Popular? The word from The Parks and Rec department: “This will sell out.”

So if you are thinking, take the next step, or is that dance step, and get those tickets before they disappear.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Bangor Parks and Recreation Department building at 647 Main Street in Bangor. Office hours are Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The cost for Bangor residents is $30 per couple, $8 for each additional daughter, Non Residents is $40 a couple, and an extra $10 for an additional daughter. Nonresidents tickets go on sale Tuesday the 17th.

Bangor resident tickets are on sale now.

No tickets will be sold at the door, so if you are planning on going, go get them now.

If dad can not make it, how about a grandfather, an uncle, an older brother that is 18 or older, or some other adult male that would make a great Daddy-Daughter dance date?

May you both remember this for the rest of your lives.
