A section of one of Bangor's busiest roads will be closed Wednesday.  You should definitely find an alternative route for your daily commute as it's bound to be a mess in that area.

According to the City of Bangor, Maine on Twitter, the section of Broadway between Cumberland Street and State Street will be closed throughout Wednesday so that construction crews are able to pave it.  That section of road has been under construction for the past few months as crews have been working on water and sewer lines along with other improvements.

Outbound and inbound lanes will alternate lane closures and the City of Bangor highly suggests that you find an alternate route for Wednesday.  Broadway is usually mobbed during the morning commute and around the lunch hour as well.  As we all know, that section of Broadway can be very busy, with businesses, apartments, and of course John Bapst High School all located within the area.

Also according to the City there will be no parking in that area of Broadway as well, which makes complete sense, at least to us.  For more information, one can call 992-4251.
