Mad Kat & Company is open once again!

A Brewer night spot that was about to be sold, had closed their doors over the weekend, but they are back up and running.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, things sure have changed quite a bit when it comes to nightlife in the Greater Bangor area.

Fewer and fewer people go out, and there aren't many places that stay open till last call, even on the weekends.

There also aren't as many places to see live music as their once were, and there is a glaring hole for a club that plays strictly current dance music for the younger crowd, that likes to go out and have fun on Friday & Saturday nights.

Mad Kat and Company, located at 393 North Main Street in Brewer, has thrived for the past four years, offering up nightly karaoke fun and food, but they are in a holding pattern and the doors were closed temporarily.

In a Facebook post yesterday, it was announced that they will re-open for Wednesday night trivia

The plan is to still put the business back up for sale, but for now, the karaoke show goes on.

For several years, Jester's was a well known fixture in the City of Brewer, but in September of 2020, Kat Markwith and her husband took over, changing the name to Mad Kat & Company.
