July 1st - July 7th: See how Shakira, Daft Punk, the Black Eyed Peas, Barenaked Ladies, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Usher, Ariana Grande and TLC marked this week in history for pop music from the past 30 years.

1992 - Sir Mix-A-Lot

The rapper hits #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week in 1992 with the classic club hit "Baby Got Back".

1995 - TLC

The superstar girl group wins Grammys and earn best selling status but file for bankruptcy this week in 1995.

1998 - Barenaked Ladies

The Canadian group, Barenaked Ladies, release the album Stunt. It's the band's fourth album but also their breakthrough record in the US, where it lands at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

2001 - Usher

R&B singer and dancer Usher hits #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "U Remind Me", which spends 4 weeks at #1 and spends a total of 24 weeks on the charts.

2006 - Shakira

Our favorite 'The Voice' coach hit #2 this week in 2006 with "Hips Don't Lie".  This song features Timbaland.

2009 - Black Eyed Peas

This week in 2009, the Black Eyed Peas hit #1 on billboard hot 100 with the song 'Boom Boom Pow', spending 33 weeks on the hot 100.  A week later, the Peas will hit #1 with 'I Gotta Feeling', which sits on the charts for 56 weeks total.

2013 - Daft Punk

The French techno group hits it big at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Get Lucky' featuring music legend Nile Rodgers and our other favorite 'The Voice' coach, Pharrell Williams.  Williams is also featured on this week's #1 song, Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines'.

2015 - Ariana Grande

A younger Ariana Grande, visits Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California were she licks some donuts on a display counter.  America hates her, especially since she says she hates America.  Not cool, Ariana.
