Z Listeners Celebrate National Sons & Daughters Day

It wasn't until a few years ago that I could celebrate this day because I only had daughters, Lucy and Vera.  But, as of September 2018, now I can celebrate this day with both daughters and my son!  My kids are what hold me to the ground and empower me.  They allow me to gain perspective, grow my patience and let me dream of what kind of future they will bring to the world.  Happy national sons and daughters day to all of you and to all of my wonderful kiddos!

Until I had kids, I thought that working in radio was the coolest job I'd ever have. My world and perspective changed on Christmas Eve of 2007, when my son Noah was born. He was the best Christmas present ever and the one who started all this "Mom" stuff! A few years later, one of the kindest and funniest girls ever put on this planet joined our crew. With the birth of Miss Grace, I now had one of each; a beautiful boy and a beautiful girl. Then Mary smashed into this world 2 years later, and the world is still recovering. A couple years after that, my little pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow came along. Bridget rounds out my four, and totally holds her own. She has a kind of depth and understanding unique to most kids her age. I couldn't be more grateful that I was picked to be their mom. They bring me a joy beyond measure, a sense of purpose in this world, and they've made me want to continually improve as a person, so that I can be the best mom possible to them.
