Released just over a quarter century ago, fans of the iconic 90's baseball movie, The Sandlot, will soon have another milestone to celebrate; a new Sandlot streaming series sequel! The catch is that Smalls, Ham, Squints, Yeah-Yeah and the whole gang will now be grown-ups, with kids of their own, as the sequel is set to take place about 20 years later, in the 80's!

The guy who wrote and directed the original movie, David Mickey Evans, is staying pretty tight lipped about which streaming service has picked up the show, but did let slip on a podcast recently that whichever one it is (Netflix? Hulu? Amazon Prime?) has already signed for two seasons, so its a bet the boys, or I guess now men, will have plenty of time on their hands for lots of new adventures!

Unlike the couple of direct-to-video sequel movies release after the 1993 classic, the new series will boast the return of the entire original cast, which is super exciting! (I can't wait to see how all the boys look as grown men, and how much of their boyhood personality Evans let's them keep.)

Evans is also rumored to be working on a Prequel to the story, which will be released at a future date by 20th Century Fox.
