Grab some friends and enjoy an afternoon out on the field of the Maine Savings Amphitheatre!

After a wrapping up a summer of big stars like Aerosmith, Stevie Nicks, Pitbull and Sting, it's now time to mellow out and play some disc golf.

Coming up on Friday, September 30th, from 3-6pm, you can come play disc golf where the biggest names in music perform, when the Maine Savings Amphitheatre transforms into a course on a crisp, fall afternoon.

Also, if you weren't lucky enough to go to a concert in the new and improved facility this year, it is a great excuse to get a look at all the amazing changes that have been made during the first year of the Maine Savings Amphitheatre.

Here is how it works:

  • It's a 9-hole disc golf course
  • It's first come, first served to sign up
  • Groups can be no larger than 5 people
  • The Backstage Bar will be open to enjoy beverages
  • All ages are welcome

If you need a refresher on how to play, it is similar to regular golf, but instead of a ball and clubs, though, players use a flying disc or Frisbee.

The object of the game is to complete each hole in the fewest throws.

We found some helpful "how to" videos for all you beginners, and although the main goal is to have fun, there are people who take it pretty seriously!

Join the fun on Friday, September 30th, from 3-6pm, at the Maine Savings Amphitheatre
