Here's something for your late-summer bucket list, frolicking in a sea of sunflowers.

Only about 30 minutes from Bangor, an annual sunflower maze is opening for the season. The Sun Flower Maze at Country Junction in Bradford will open Saturday, August 21. Etched in rows of tens of thousands of sunflowers is not one, but two mazes.

Here's how to get there.

According to the family-owned farm, the sunflowers are not at peak bloom just yet. Peak bloom tends to be around the first or second week of September. Pets are not allowed this year. Photographers will be on-site for mini sessions starting next week, as well as a food truck.

Farther north in Aroostook country, the endless rows of sunflowers at Buck Farms in Mapleton are blooming. The majestic free photo op can be accessed by designated field roads. According to a Facebook post, the owners ask visitors to "be courteous to your local farmers and neighbors and stay on the designated field roads and please DO NOT remove any flowers from the field."
