A FREE movie outdoors? Not a bad way to kick off the weekend!

This summer, it is rare to have a non-concert night on the Bangor Waterfront, especially on a Friday, so get the family together tonight, because Bangor Parks and Recreation are teaming up with the Maine Savings Amphitheater, to host a FREE screening of the smash Disney hit "Encanto"

The gates will open to the public at 6:00pm tonight, and the film will begin at 6:30pm sharp. Best of all, there is plenty of room on The L.L. Bean lawn, to stretch out and enjoy the show on the big screen.

Also, it is an excellent chance to get a look at all the new improvements made to the concert facility while you are there!

Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the movie. No outside food or drinks are permitted.

You can bring a blanket to sit on, however lawn chairs are not permitted at the venue.

Guests will enter thru the Northwest Entrance, right across the street from Dunkin.

"Encanto", follows a multigenerational Colombian family, the Madrigals, led by a matriarch whose children and grandchildren, except for Mirabel Madrigal, receive magical gifts from a miracle, which they use to help the people in their rural community, called the Encanto. When Mirabel learns that the family is losing their magic, she sets out to find out why and save the family and house.

Encanto grossed $96.1 million in the United States and Canada, and $160.4 million across the globe, for a worldwide total of $256.5 million.

It is the perfect Friday night movie to watch outdoors for FREE, with the whole family!
