The hard work of the Bangor Police Department was rewarded with a holiday serenade!

The Bangor Area Youth Choirs showed up to lift the spirits of our men and women in blue with thirty minutes of classic Christmas carols. And as usual, when it was posted on Facebook, it came with a humorous post from the comedy king of Bangor, Lt. Tim Cotton, who is also the author of "The Detective in the Dooryard: Reflections of a Maine Cop" and "Got Warrants?: Dispatches from the Dooryard"

And as you may have heard, they Bangor Police Department has been extra busy this year tracking down those pesky Porch Pirates, who make life a living hell for some Bangor residents every Christmas, when they rip off holiday gifts right off your porch, but they still took the time for their annual "Shop With A Cop" day.

It's been another rough year for everyone, but there are some things that just bring a smile to your face, especially when it involves helping those less fortunate to have a great holiday season. This year, they hit Target with the kids, and shopped for gifts that the kids themselves got to pick out, then headed to the police station to wrap the items that they will give out to five lucky, local families. This wonderful event was once again sponsored by C&L Aviation.

A big thanks to the Bangor Police Department for all that you do for our community, each and every day. Happy Holidays!
