The Maine Veterans Project and Diversified Ink Tattoo are hosting the 1st Annual Ed Sheffer Memorial Tattoo Contest / Benefit for ME Veterans, on Sunday, October 3rd, from 2 pm– 7 pm, at Jeff's Catering & Event Center in Brewer.

One hundred percent of the proceeds go to veterans. This benefit will feature a live tattoo contest, live music by the Uncrowned Kings, silent auction items, a cash bar, and plenty of food to chow down on. Anyone is welcome to join the fun, Veterans get in free, and a $10 minimum donation is requested at the door for non-veterans

The event is in memory of Ed Sheffer, the founder of Diversified Ink, who died in a motorcycle accident on June 16, 2020.

There will a total of 7 categories to be judged:
Best Black & Gray
Best Color
Best Sleeve
Best Military Theme
Best Cover-Up

There will be some great prizes, including gift cards from several local tattoo shops, including, Forecastle Tattoo, Three Graces Tattoo, Timber Hearth Tattoo, and Diversified Ink Tattoo.
