A recent study has found that horror movie fans are coping quite well with this pandemic we are going through.

The study, released by the University of Chicago, has found that people fond of scary and thrilling movies are better prepared for situations like the one we are going through right now, due to tips on how to react and behave in heightened anxiety situations like a crisis.

In an interview with ScienceAlert.com, psychologist and researcher Coltan Scrivner of the University of Chicago had this to say about the findings:

"If it's a good movie, it pulls you in and you take the perspective of the characters, so you are unintentionally rehearsing the scenarios... We think people are learning vicariously. It's like, with the exception of the toilet paper shortage, they pretty much knew what to buy."
