Stephen Colbert Helps Mainers Confused About Voting [VIDEO]
Hey Maine, do you have questions about how to vote in the upcoming election?
Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show on CBS, which can be seen weeknights at 11:35 on Channel 5, is known for some pretty hard hitting comedy that comes the expense of President Trump usually, but he and his team want you to get out and vote, reguardless of who you plan to vote for.
Maine is the latest state to be featured in their YouTube series, "Better Know A Ballot" which is an informative way to answer any questions you may have about the utter confusion of voting this year, starting with how to check to see if you are registered to vote, what the deadline in Maine is, how you can request an absentee ballot, and how you can vote in person early, if you choose to bypass the process of what is almost certain to be a crazy Election Day at the polls,
Colbert begins the video by buttering us up saying "Everybody knows Maine is the smartest state in the nation" He also mentions that Cadillac Mountain is the first place in the United States where you can see the sunrise. Of course, he throws a zinger or two in for good measure.
The guidelines for registering to vote and voting by mail can be hard to figure out, but are all the resources you need to make a plan to vote can be easily found at https://www.betterknowaballot.com/ME/
However you decide to do it, don't forget to vote!
