It's a question that has weighed on the minds of Bangorians for a long time. What are the three cities in Tri-City Pizza's name?

We spoke with Linda Blanchard, who has worked at Tri-City, in her words, "forever." She told us the name does not refer to three cities at all.

"There are no cities," she said. "It's just the name."

But there is a reason for the name. The "Tri-" part of the businesses' name, she said, referenced the three daughters of original owner George Chapman, who opened the popular pizza place in 1963.

Who knew? We always assumed there was more to the name because we couldn't figure out what the three cities were! We kind of assumed it was Bangor, Brewer and someplace else.

What did you think it meant?
