A juvenile was charged after a threatening message was discovered Friday at Mount View Middle School in Thorndike, the second reported threat at the Mount View school complex in as many days.

Schools were placed on lockdown Friday, but all classes and activities resumed after police identified the individual responsible for the threat.

Schools at the complex were placed on lockdown and students were released Thursday after a threatening message was discovered at Mount View High School.

The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office said a juvenile was charged with making Friday's threat, but the incident at the high school is still under investigation.
