A tractor trailer sliding on the ice, before jackknifing under a Bangor bridge, was caught on dash cam by the person traveling behind it.

Traffic came to a standstill on I-95 northbound in Bangor on Monday, after the truck came to rest near a bridge abutment, between the Union Street and Broadway exits of I-95. Tim Larson was traveling behind the truck when it began to skid, and caught the whole thing on his dash-mounted camera.

Larson said the truck had passed him earlier, on the icy road, and so he backed off and gave the driver plenty of space. He said there was no salt or sand on the interstate, making it extremely slick. We're so glad he wasn't riding too close, and that there were no cars next to the truck when it started to slide.
