Spring arrives on Thursday morning, which is pretty exciting news. Warm, sunny days are ahead, and that is the perfect excuse to enjoy a cold, refreshing treat!

Sawyer's Shave Ice, which has been operating a food truck, located at 1205 Broadway, is about to open a brand new store in the heart of Downtown Bangor.

With a planned opening date of Saturday, May 17th, they will move to 173 Park Street, the former home of the Wicked Brew Café & Coffee Shop, which closed their doors, back in September of of 2024.

The owners Andrew and Julianne Sawyer, are a husband-and-wife duo, who took a bold leap and moved to Maui, Hawaii during the height of the pandemic in 2020.

They eventually headed back to their roots here in Bangor, with a mission to bring authentic hawaiian shave ice to their hometown.

Their menu is packed with unique combos, each with a burst of island flavor, giving you a taste of Hawaii, right here in the Queen City.
