The Maine Lobster Festival started way back in 1947, when a group of citizens and summer folk, had a discussion about how to have summer events in the Camden/Rockland area like they did prior to the years during the second world war. Ever since then, the festival has been held every year on the first weekend in August, and it is back and bigger than ever, so put it on your list of things to do this summer!
