The most beautiful time of the year in Maine is almost here. Crisp days, football, fall foliage, and of course, pumpkins! Best of all, there is no shortage of things to do all across Maine during the fall season.

It is time to pick a pumpkin, hop aboard the train in Unity, and take a train ride to the pumpkin patch to pick your pumpkin.

This one-hour trip is $25 for adults, $12 for children

Celebrating over 150 years of railroading, the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad offers some fun weekend trips from their location in Unity.

Just about every weekend from Memorial Day until the end of October, they host fun events, and if you haven’t had the pleasure of a good train ride, this is right up your alley. It really is a treat to experience this.

And, if you are looking for something to do tomorrow, you can ride the Lobster Roll Express.

Guests are treated to a box lunch containing a fresh Maine lobster roll, pickle, chips, and a beverage.

After lunch, sit back and enjoy the gorgeous view, as you take a classic train ride by Unity pond and into the woods of Waldo County Maine, then ending up back at Unity Station.

The Lobster Roll Express takes place from 11am-noon!
