If there's one thing you need to know about Taylor Swift's new Reputation, it's to expect the unexpected—especially when it comes to its sound.

On Sunday (September 3), the country-turned-pop titan surprise-dropped a brand new song called "...Ready For It?," a hard electro-charged track with rough synths and an attitude to match its snarling precursor, "Look What You Made Me Do."

The song kicks off with a throbbing, jagged bassline, before Swift launches into a speak-sing rap about boys who try too hard.

But just as you settle into the sharp edges of the electro-clash banger, the pop star swerves into a sweeter, softer melody on the chorus.

"In the middle of the night in my dreams / You should see the things we do, baby," she coos. "In the middle of the night in my dreams / I know I'm gonna be with you, so I take my time / Are you ready for it?"

Well? Are you?
