Police and Fire Department Presence at Bangor Walmart [UPDATE]

Bangor Police have closed down a portion of the parking lot, at this hour, as they deal with a situation.

UPDATE: WABI-TV reports the incident is over and police are cleared the scene. 

NewsCenter Maine reports an explosive response team has been sent to the scene for what officers say is a report of a suspicious package. Some customers are unable to return to their vehicles until the scene is cleared. Townsquare Media's Paul Wolfe is on the scene and told us that entrances to the parking lot have been blocked by police and fire department vehicles.

Residents are asked to avoid the area until police have given the all-clear.
