Pizza & Whoopie Pie Train Rides In Unity Are Back!

Looking for things to do on a Saturday? Ride the rails for a day of fun!

Celebrating over 150 years of railroading, the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad offers some fun weekend trips from their location in Unity. Just about every weekend, they host fun events, and if you haven’t had the pleasure of a good train ride, this is right up your alley. It really is a treat to experience this, and it can really make a great Saturday road trip. The sights and beauty of the state of Maine are on full display when you take this exciting experience.

Once again, they are planning the Pizza and Whoopie Pie Train Ride. Enjoy some pizza, and Maine’s number one dessert, the whoopie pie, a beverage, plus, a ride on the scenic Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad.

This is one of their most popular events, so get in on the fun early. Tickets are $29 for adults, $19 for children, and infants are free.

Saturday, April 6th 11am-12:15pm
Saturday, April 20th 11am-12:15pm
Saturday, May 4th 11am-12:15pm
Saturday, May 18th 11am-12:15pm

Or you can take a Hot Chocolate & Cookie Train Ride, on the following dates:

Saturday, March 23rd 1:30pm-2:30pm
Saturday, April 6th 1:30pm-2:30pm
Saturday, April 20th 1:30pm-2:30pm

While you are there, you can also enjoy the day with some ice cream at Conez, which is right where you board the train, or lunch at the fantastic Mammie’s Restaurant, which is directly across the road from the station.

All trains depart from Unity Station, in Unity, which is located at 212 Depot Street.
