As we get closer and closer to the official start of summer, we have some great new music to play for you this week on the Z!

"If the World Was Ending" is a duet by Canadian singer JP Saxe, with some help from Julia Michaels. The song was produced by Finneas O’Connell, who just happens to be the brother of Billie Ellish. The message in this track is really resonating with people. It deals with compassion and love, two things we all really need right now.

"Blueberry Faygo" is a feel good summer jam from rapper Lil Mosey, who is just 18 years old. It was originally leaked about a year ago in June 2019, when multiple imposters uploaded bootleg versions of the song on Spotify, racking up about 22 million streams, before it was taken down, only to be officially released in February of this year. It took off again when it was picked up for dance challenges by users on Tik Tok. In fact the video was filed at The Hype House, which is a Tik Tok mansion in Los Angeles.

Lady Gaga is back on top. “Rain On Me”, her hit single with Ariana Grande is flying up with charts, and her new album “Chromatica” just debuted at number one with 274,000 units sold in it’s first week. It’s her sixth number one album, following the soundtrack to “A Star Is Born”, “Joanne”, “Cheek To Cheek” with Tony Bennett, “Artpop” and “Born This Way” She is now in rarified air, as she joins Taylor Swift,, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, and Britney Spears, as female artists to that have had 6 #1 albums.
