UPDATE: Missing hunter Todd Babula of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, was found deceased at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Babula, 59, was located by a team of several game wardens doing a hasty search checking wooded areas for known tree stands he would use. This area is heavily wooded and located North of the ITS 84 snowmobile trail located between Route 27 and Atwood Hill Road in New Portland, Maine.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner has been notified.

Babula has a camp in the New Portland area and has deer hunted in the area for many years. On Friday, November 9th, Babula's truck became stuck sometime in the morning, on a woods road, that doubles as the snowmobile trail. He made arrangements to have some local neighbors assist him in getting the truck unstuck later in the afternoon.

Babula's uncle dropped him off to hunt near his truck on Friday afternoon at around 1:00. He hadn't been seen or heard from since.

He was reported missing by his uncle on Saturday, November 10 at around  5 p.m. Game Wardens responded and found Babula's vehicle, and used all their resources to try and find him Saturday night.

The search began again on Sunday morning, including the use of warden K9's, warden service aircraft, and some local residents to search the woods, including locating several different tree stands that Babula had frequented.
