New Building Coming To Brewer, One Going Away in Bangor

If you travel the much-traveled Wilson Street in Brewer lately you have probably seen this building.

It’s across the street from The Coach House. It's always interesting, sometimes exciting, to see new buildings and wonder what is going to go into them.

Sometimes they are built and then they find a tenant. Sometimes they are built by a company themselves for a specific purpose.

This used to be The Cigaret Shopper location.

And it’ll be the new home of Down East Credit Union, which is now on Springer Drive in Bangor.

Down East Credit Union or DECU also has seven other locations in Maine, and has been around for 80 years. They were a winner of Best Places to Work in Maine for the past 5 years.

And soon, Downeast Credit Union will be on Wilson Street in Brewer.

Let’s go over the bridge to Bangor for another building update.

On Main Street, in between the Subway and McDonald’s, and in front of The Pour House sits the Car Wash. It has not been in operation since last year and is about to go away.

So we have another ‘what is going to go here’ story to follow very soon in the future.
