The Rec Department in Milford was sad to announce the cancellation of a family dance on Friday due to continued COVID-19 spread but, are not giving in to canceling the Christmas spirit.

Milford Recreation announced the cancellation of the Milford Rec Family Dance on Facebook but, stated in lieu of the dance that was planned they would instead ride around with the Milford Fire Department and deliver gifts to all Milford kids in the town.

On Friday, December 17, kids in Milford living on the following roads will be delivered a gift bag from the two town departments to spread a little holiday cheer:

  • Call Road (Pheasant Park & Leisure Park)
  • Pine Street
  • Oak Street, Curtis Lane, Emerald Drive, Tallwood Drive
  • Henderson Lane, Morin Lane, Birch Street, Maple Lane and Ash Street
  • Bradley Road

The kids can expect the Fire Department and Rec Department to come around after 6 PM on the 17th, starting first on Davenport Street and Ferry Street.

If your road was not listed- do not worry! Families can stop by the Milford Town Office to grab a bag.

For kids waiting anxiously on the 17th, the Milford Rec Department will be updating their Facebook page to let everyone know where they are as they move about the town of Milford to the streets listed above and in the order listed.
