Maine’s Favorite Horror Villain Has a Familiar (and Frightening) Face

The most popular horror movie villain is very fitting for Maine, especially here in Scary Derry.

Once again FrontierBundles.com has listed the "Most Popular Horror Movie Villains By State." This year's selection is pretty darn perfect for Maine, Pennywise The Dancing Clown, from Stephen King's IT.

To create their annual map, Frontier Bundles data analysts selected 12 popular villains -- including three King creations -- from classic pre-2000 horror movies. Using Google Trends, they analyzed each character's search volume in the last 12 months in each state.

Idaho, Virginia, Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, North Dakota, and Utah all float too.
