The MaineDOT has put out a message to the public about upcoming work to expect today for I95 commuters.

Expect possible traffic interruptions on I-95 northbound and North Main Street for bridge work.

Work is expected to begin today, March 21st and an expected wrap up date is expected on May 23rd.

Please be mindful of road crews and drive cautiously in work areas.

Motorists are being advised of possible traffic interruptions on I-95 northbound and North Main Street in Pittsfield as bridge work is slated to begin on March 21st. The bridge, which carries I-95 northbound traffic over North Main Street in Pittsfield is being rehabilitated by Scott Construction Corporation of Portland, ME.

The work will mostly occur under the bridge from North Main Street. I-95 northbound traffic will see short term lane closures during the project, however one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times. North Main Street traffic will have short term lane closures controlled by flaggers and alternating one-way traffic at times throughout the project. The work is expected to be complete by May 23rd, 2019.
