Not too long ago, we found Dysart's on Broadway was selling ready to heat-up beans and red snappers. That's soooo Maine. But, across the river, we may have a contender for a 'Most Maine Combo' challenge.

This time we're going sweet and cinnamon-y.

Check this out. Now, Maine ingenuity is taking us to Sweet's Market on North Main Street in Brewer where they are selling Maine whoopie pies with a kick.

Sweet's Market is headquartered in this location but their decadent whoopies, cookies, and baked goods can be found throughout the Bangor area. The bakery likes to have fun with flavor combos as seen here with their 4-Pack mini-whoopies in the flavor of fireball cakes and fireball filling. That's a hot combo, bub!

The Brewer bakery has also tried out a Guinness and Bailey's Irish Cream combo recently for St. Patricks Day. So, the bakery isn't shy about experimenting with liquor and flavor combos.  This makes us all very happy.

Maine loves it some Fireball Whiskey

In 2019, Fireball Whiskey made history overthrowing Allen's Coffee Brandy as Maine's #1 liquor of choice. Its favor has slid a few spots since glorious 2019, when the world looked normal to us as we look back at it now, but the little spitfire liquor still remains solid as one of Maine's favorite liquors. Actually, in a list of Maine's most sold liquors of 2021 on Maine.gov, Fireball placed on three of the top 25 spots as most cases sold in the State of Maine, three times because of three different sizes - 50 ML, 750 ML, and 375 ML - in that order.

Maine loves it some sweet whoopie pies

Maine loves their whoopie pies, too. One of the state's favorite festivals is the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival in Dover-Foxcroft, which celebrates the sandwich treat every year. This year we'll (finally) get to dig in on June 25th.

Without throwing shade at Maine's state dessert- the blueberry pie- the Maine State Legislature took to serious business in 2011 to name whoopie pies as the Maine state treat. So, at least it has some sort of officialness- because it deserves it!

Throw these two Maine favorites together- Fireball Whiskey and whoopie pie- and you've got yourself one heckofa good time, chum. And maybe one you'll actually remember this time.

And, if you get to try this special combo made by Sweet's Market, you'll have to play this song to really enjoy the experience.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
