Four days of science are coming to the Queen City with lots to talk about, learn about, and find curiosity in.

The four-day Maine Science Festival will take place at several locations between Bangor and Orono beginning March 16 and going until March 20.

A variety of subjects, speakers, and events are on the schedule. Here's a look at what's to come with a list of events and links for details listed below.

Maine Science Festival 2022 Headliner Event

One feature of the festival this year will be merging science and music. The Warming Sea is a symphonic piece that will be performed by the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and serves as hope for our warming seas. This performance will take place at the Collins Center for the Arts in Orono on March 19 at 7 PM.

Maine Science Festival Feature: 5 Minute Genius

Short talks that cover a variety of topics will also be featured, called '5 Minute Genius'. Maine scientists will speak for five minutes about 'the most remarkable, cutting-edge science happening throughout Maine'. From there, the live audience gets 5 minutes of asking questions about the topic.

This event will be taking place on March 19 at 7:30 PM at Bangor Arts Exchange in Downtown Bangor. Here's a preview of this feature from past years' Maine Science Festival.
