Summer Camp Option In Downtown Bangor

One option will have your kiddos in Downtown Bangor taking in a variety of educational opportunities over the span of 7 weeks, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. That option is for kids 5 to 12 years of age and right at the Maine Discovery Museum. The summer camp dates start July 11th and go right up until the start of the next school year.

Weekly camp themes at the Children's Museum

Every week has a special theme that includes STEM labs, exploration, and creativity with the first week of camp focusing on animals. The younger kiddos will be learning about animals that live far away and that live right in our very own backyards. They'll be able to explore through touch and sight as well as make their own artwork. The older kids will be devoting the week to dogs, even getting the chance to meet rescue dogs and therapy dogs. There will be a little time to devout to cats but the main theme for the older kids will be awesome dogs!

Camping rates

You can join in on a week of activities or stay for the whole summer. Rates for camp depends on your membership status. Members get a special discount of 15% per week. Members' rates are $297.50/week, whereas non-members are $350/week.

See a full list of each weeks' themes for the younger kids and older kids at the Maine Discovery Museum's website. For more information check out the Maine Discovery Museum webpage all about their Summer Camp offerings for the summer of 2022!
