Unless they make a last minute decision to postpone the games (again) due to the pandemic, the Olympics will kick off with the opening ceremony tomorrow night.

If you do end up watching the opening ceremony, keep your eyes on the Olympian's feet to see a little piece of Maine.

According to the Sun Journal, a Central Maine business will be a huge part of the opening and closing ceremonies for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Lewiston-based company Rancourt & co. started this amazing opportunity a few years ago when they produced hand-sewn shoes for athletes in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Keeping up with the tradition, the Rancourt family is back at hand sewing shoes again. The shoes produced by Rancourt and Co are very patriotic with tons of Red, White, and Blue and took nearly two full years to finish.

Making shoes for Olympians isn't all the Rancourt family does, they have their own line of leather shoes as well as working hand in hand with Sperry's and Ralph Lauren.

Catch the opening ceremonies on July 23rd and the closing ceremonies on August 8th.
