A Levant man is facing charges after allegedly strangling his wife until she couldn't breathe.

WVII-TV reports 25-year-old Damian Ouellette is charged with Aggravated Domestic Violence Assault after the attack they say started when his wife confronted him about another woman.He was arrested on Friday morning, after allegedly pushing his wife against a wall and strangling her until she couldn't breathe. Ouellette also allegedly broke a door in the home, during the incident.

Bail was set at $25,000, with the conditions that Ouellette have no contact with his wife, one of her four children, and her mother, who police say witnessed the attack. He's well-known to police, having been convicted of robbery in 2013 and then charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
