Black Bear Cinemas in Orono and the Autism Society of Maine have teamed up and are offering a sensory-friendly showing of Kung Fu Panda 4.

On Saturday, April 6, Black Bear Cinemas in Orono will offer a free movie event open to anyone with Autism and their families. This is a sensory-friendly event, meaning the lights and the sound will be lowered.

This event is reserved seating so you will want to register as soon as you can by calling the Autism Society of Maine at 800-273-5200 or emailing info@asmonline.org. They will need to have your name, phone number and email address so they can send out reminders of the event.

I appreciate sensory-friendly events offered by businesses because I have a child with autism who can get overwhelmed if a place is too loud. So, thank you Black Bear Cinemas for offering an event that will allow so many children and adults to enjoy a movie on their comfort level. Black Bear Cinemas is located at 6 Stillwater Ave in Orono and at https://www.blackbearcinemas.com/.
