Explore the history of Bangor and get a good scare at the same time!

We are just days away from to the spookiest day of the year, Halloween. Things are a bit different this year obviously, but there are still events happening that you can enjoy. This one in particular gives you an in depth look at our hometown.

The Bangor Historical Society’s "Ghostly Bangor Walking Tour" features tales veiled in unsolved mysteries, murder and the past residents who may still linger in the Queen City. The tours take place through the streets of Downtown Bangor and last around 90 minutes.

The walking tours depart from the Bangor Historical Society’s Thomas A. Hill House, located at 159 Union Street, Bangor. at 7 p.m. To protect patrons and tour guides this season, the walking tours will adhere to CDC guidelines and recommendations. They will practice social distancing steps and are requiring everyone to wear a face mask while on the tours. They also have a new speaker system to aid the tour guides due to the spread out nature of the tours. Should a change in the procedure occur, there is a possiblity of a tour being cancelled.

The tours will be capped at 15 guests and tickets will sell quickly, but there are just two chances left to enjoy this event!

Tuesday, October 27th 7-8:30pm
Friday, October 30th 7-8:30pm

Tickets must be purchased by noon of the date of the tour.
