All of Maine is proud of you, Julia!

The "American Idol" finale last night has crowned another winner.

Abi Carter won the popular vote to become the "American Idol" Season 22 champ.

Will Moseley, and Jack Blocker, were the runners-up.

It was quite an evening, with performances by Jon Bon Jovi, 2004 "Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino, Wynonna Judd, Seal, New Kids on the Block, and a tribute to outgoing judge, Katy Perry.

There was one other surprise, Maine's Julia Gagnon came back to sing a very cool duet with Jason Mraz.

"I Feel Like Dancing" is a tune from his album "Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride"

Their performance lived up to the title of the song, because both Julia and Jason busted out some pretty slick dance moves during the funky, upbeat song

You can see Jason Mraz in Bangor, at Maine Savings Amphitheater, on Sunday, July 7th! Who knows, maybe Julia will show up to sing with him again.

I have to say, that it has been a ton of fun, not only watching her journey on American Idol, but getting to write about her, has been very enjoyable the last few months.

It has been fantastic rooting for someone who represented the State of Maine, in such a meaningful and beautiful way.

Maybe what is most amazing about Julia's success, is that it all began right here in Maine, at Central Maine Idol, last summer.

Since Julia finished in the Top 7, she will more than likely go out on tour with the rest of the finalists, once this season is over, so you certainly have not heard the last of her.

Be sure to follow her on Instagram to see what she is up to next!
