Being a member of the media isn't always easy. You've got to be able to think quickly, roll with the punches, and definitely have thick skin.

Among media personalities in Portland, Maine, there are very few more with a higher profile than News Center Maine meteorologist Keith Carson.

Over the years, Carson has worn his criticism like a badge of honor. He has famously shared multiple different pieces of hate mail he's received, most of which is centered around Carson's use of scientific data to predict the effect of climate change on Maine.

Carson has repeatedly shown his sarcastic side as well. He's a good follow on X (Twitter), where his snarky replies to irritated individuals is a thing of beauty. Not only that, but Carson once declared himself as the 'most slappable' media personality in Maine.

But you can't be a great media personality if you're not willing to make fun of yourself every now and again. And Keith Carson definitely isn't afraid of doing that.

In a recent live forecast, Carson was preparing to gently let down snow lovers in Maine by warning them that a forthcoming storm may not be everything that they had hoped for. And he explained it by using this quip.

Carson roasting himself on his own looks doesn't change the fact that a lot of storm predictions more than a week out have a chance of looking very silly by this weekend.
