Challenging & Beautiful Maine Trail Named One of America’s ‘Bucket List Hikes’

In an article posted to the site, one Maine hike was included in its "Ultimate Bucket List" of the best trails in the country. That trail can be found in the iconic Acadia National Park.

The Pine Tree State's golden child is no stranger to being at the top of the charts. The national park is an absolute gem with its amazing hiking, beaches, lakes, water activities, and wildlife. It's also home to one of America's best bucket list hike, the Beehive Trail.

It's no surprise to see the high ranking for this challenging hike. Not only is the trail beautiful, but it's also unique. It has numerous features, rungs, ladders, and tough cliff climbs, with a panoramic landscape that is true Maine perfection.

The popular hiking site All Trails describes the Beehive Trail difficulty as "hard". However, even with its challenging reputation, the trail has a rating of 4.9 out of 5. It features views of Maine's coast, islands, and Acadia's Sand Beach. It's also known as a great trail for birding.
