The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office began to look into the situation.
"The investigation revealed Moody was on probation and the Maine Sex Offender Registry for similar offenses that occurred in 2024, where minors were sexually exploited. The investigation also revealed additional victims throughout the United States and serious child sexual exploitation offenses that had taken place over several months."

Moody was arrested on June 30th as a result of what investigators found.
He's been charged with one count of possessing sexually explicit material and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, both Class B and C crimes.

The National Center of Missing and Exploited Children says they have seen an alarming rise in sexual abuse and exploitation of minors via online games and activities.
