When the beats of basketball align with the cadence of conversation, there's a podcast that has been creating a buzz, one dribble after another. "Through the Wire," presented and produced by House of Highlights, has been hitting the road, and they ought to seriously consider the Queen City of the East as their next destination.

The podcast, a slam dunk for basketball fans, is led by four childhood best friends - Darrick, Pierre, Kenny, and Mike. As they dish out NBA insights, their fan-centric perspective has carved out a niche in the competitive podcast arena. While they compete with podcasts led by famous athletes like "Podcast P with Paul George" and "The Draymond Green Show," Through the Wire"s engaging analysis keeps attracting more and more fans.

Recently, they’ve been taking their show on the road more frequently. While their home is in Chicago, they've been doing live shows in various places across the country. They've even expanded their reach beyond the borders, most recently visiting Toronto. Just this year, they've been to cities like Philadelphia, Miami, Las Vegas, and Toronto. So, it's only fitting that their next stop is Bangor, Maine.

Okay, let's be real, Bangor isn't the biggest city out there. It’s a long shot, but crazier things have happened, right? The city might not be Miami or Philadelphia, but we’ve got a lot of heart.

And if they were to come here, there's no shortage of venues. They have the ability to attract a significant audience, capable of filling venues like the Bangor Arts Exchange, the Morgan Hill Event Center in Hermon, or even the Gracie Theatre on Husson University's campus. This last option presents an excellent chance for students at the New England School of Communications to gain valuable real-life, hands-on experience.

But, it's not all about podcasting. Bangor and our entire Pine Tree State boasts a lively music scene. This is something that the members of Through The Wire would undoubtedly recognize. After all, they titled their show after the Kanye West song. It's even possible that Spose could be kicking around; he loves basketball, too.

Now, let's talk food. Because, if you've ever tuned into Through the Wire, you'd know that food is more than a passing mention—it's practically a majority of the podcast. Enter Maine, famed for its seafood, particularly the lobster roll. I'm certain they've had lobster before, but if you haven't experienced it in Maine, can you truly say you've had it? I don't think so.

Oh, and did you know that one of the hosts, Darrick, is a huge wrestling fan, too? Bangor's got something to slam down on that front too. The indie pro wrestling scene in Maine, especially the efforts of Limitless Wrestling, is a hotbed for the sport. Plus, Bangor wears a pro wrestling badge of honor as the first city to host a pro wrestling show booked by none other than Vince McMahon himself.

So, while the odds might be long and the court might seem unfamiliar, why not let Bangor have a shot at hosting Through the Wire? After all, if Las Vegas got its slice of the action, why not give Bangor a chance to prove that Maine's got game too?
