It's become a Win-Win for this unique local business.

Win-Win expands into Holden

What started as a single location on South Main Street in Brewer will now become two locations in the Bangor region! Win-win, a unique donation/thrift shop, is looking to expand its reach onto Route 1A, 1 mile past the end of I-395 in Holden.

The new Win-win location will be an addition to the business with a fresh beginning for their addition in a brand new building. The added location will have 4,000 square feet for lots more Win-win thrift items, great staff, and more cool finds.

As stated, Win-win will be keeping its original location 338 South Main Street in Brewer, formerly the Van Raymond Outfitters building. The added space will bring more space for all they have to offer as well as more processing and receiving space for the items people want to donate. Also, the store will also have something customers have been wanting to use... shopping carts!

The deal with Win-Win

This unique thrift store has an interesting model for their business that really expands on getting the most out of perfectly useful items. The model of the business is to help reduce waste by giving new life or extended life to the things you want to let go of in your home. When you go to donate your items, you can assign the items to a particular organization, from a provided list, for a portion of the sale to be donated. If items aren't assigned to an organization a purchaser of the shop can pick an organization themselves.

This business really wants to focus also on the economic impact for the Bangor Area in which items bought here are sold here, which keeps money right in the community and builds a stronger local economy.

Raising thousands for local organizations

Early in the start of 2022, the business announced that it had raised $12,000 for 2021. And those prospects of donating funds look like it will be just as generous, if not more, for 2022.

We'll be awaiting the grand opening for their newest location- they'll keep us posted on Facebook when that will be (hopefully in the weeks to come). The Facebook video we shared above shows some of the inventory they've already received at the new location.
